As the date for my SWV trip draws closer, I'm getting more and more excited! It's a good thing I've been fairly busy at work, otherwise there would be no outlet for my excitement, and then what would I do?? It doesn't help that I get periodic text messages from various divers and divers-to-be also sharing their enthusiasm with me. But I love it, I love every moment of it! Plus this is going to be an extra meaningful trip for me because a few of my 'family' will be returning there for a reunion and I can't wait to meet up with them again and catch up in person.
On top of that, my camera strobe sensor that died out on me on my last trip is fixed, so that's great too. I was contemplating whether or not to take my camera if I don't have my strobe sensor - it gets frustrating trying to take pictures without my strobe - so now that it's fixed, dilemma sorted out! Not sure how much time I'll actually have to take pictures, but hey, you never know.
So I was sorting through my old pictures, and came across the one I took of the tube worm at night, which is one of my favorite pics. And y'know what? The very same tube worm is still there. Just slightly off the jetty. At about 4 or 5m. So I'm psyched that my divers will get to see it too, and see how different it looks during the day and at night.
For those of you who aren't on this trip (you poor sad souls), or who won't be doing the night dive, here it is during the day time ...

And here it is at night ...

Stunning, ain't it??
